Benevolence

We believe that serving God is serving others.

Matthew 25:35-40 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"

Mark 12:31 "Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."

Food Pantry

We are connected with The Greater Tuckerton Food Pantry. Please visit their facebook page for hours of operation. www.facebook.com/tuckertonfoodpantry. If you are already connected there and still have a need, we have a section of our church set aside as a supplemental food pantry to assist with that. We receive donations from members of our church, people in the community and local supermarkets.

Thanksgiving
Lead. We believe that as His disciples, we need to lead through humble servanthood.
For close to a decade now, we have been putting Thanksgiving baskets together for our church and community family.

We adopt a number of families and provide them with a Thanksgiving basket filled with all the Thanksgiving holiday trimmings. This is made possible through the generous donations given by our church members, along with many others from within our community.

Christmas
Light. We believe as His disciples we are on a mission with God to be a light shining in the darkness.

We work with two other local churches to fill the needs during Christmas in our community. Please call the church office for more information.

Family Promise

Today, hundreds of thousands of Americans –children and adults- are homeless.  Family Promise is a non profit, non denominational organization for families in transition.  Family Promise brings shelter, meals and support services to families without homes.  This organization works along side of churches, social services and many other organizations to help these families find permanent housing and jobs.  70% of the families that participate in this program find jobs and homes.  We currently are a Host Site.  Three weeks out of the year we Host up to 15 people.  We work alongside of Family Promise and provide within our facility housing, food and transportation to and from the Day Site.  This requires many volunteers from within the church as well as in the community.  For more information on this program or if you would like to be a part of this life changing initiative, please visit the Family Promise of Southern Ocean County website.

These are some of the ways community needs are being met by our helping to supply food and other necessities to families experiencing challenging difficulties.
